You're like a hose with a thumb over it:
Spitting syllables
out
of your
copper
ring
mouth

Which slurp over
sullen dirt clumps
And convince them
to loosen;

Which are
gulped
greedily
By gnarled
old man finger
roots;

Which
wash
clean
my rosebud toes

That you will later dry

With your
spiders' silk
Magdalene
hair

Another one cross-posted to [link] . Fiddled with the format a bit before submitting it here, not sure which I like better as of yet. Whatever.

This one was written to help my sister with her homework, hence its alternate title as posted on my blog.

I promise I'll stop linking to that thing eventually, hehe.

I love this - it keeps falling over itself into the next stanza, and you can't stop being sprayed by those syllables until the end. Excellent!
